[As he is a good amount of distance from there at the moment, so maybe Amy will have time to get ready.]

[ A little more planning would have been nice, but she can work with this. ]

[ Since this is totally not a date, it shouldn't take her too long to get ready. Just need to freshen up a bit, and make herself a little more presentable.

[By "soon" he means within an hour, because he wasn't exactly near the Inn at the time, so it takes a bit for him to get back to their room.

Which is probably a perfect amount of time for Amy to get herself all freshened up.]

[ Amy doesn't entirely mind, since it does give her a chance to wash up a little and change into a different dress, something a little nicer than her usual one, while still appropriate for the weather. She also decides to use the cute bag she got as a gift, just because it works well with her outfit. She's actually quite proud of herself by the time she's finished, since it didn't take her as long as she thought it would to get ready for a date.

Which this is not. Nope.

Once she's changed and ready to go, she'll mess around a bit on her phone while waiting for Shadow. ]

[Totally not a date at all.

ANYWAY, once Shadow gets back to the room? He's going to knock first, just in case Amy is doing something and needs the warning, before entering the room.

He'll take in the sight of her in a nicer dress with a glance and... Not say anything about it, because that's just how he is.]

Are you ready, and sorry for the wait as well...

[Cause he does know it took him some time to get here, after all.]

[ The knock on the door has her hopping to her feet. ] Come in!

[ She is just a bit disappointed that he doesn't say anything about her dress, but she's not entirely surprised. Besides, the dress is more for her sake anyway, so she lets it slide as she puts her phone into her bag. ]

It's okay! This was pretty spur of the moment anyway. And yup, I'm all set!

[Amy shouldn't expect much, it is Shadow after all. Although he has taken note of the different dress, he's just not the type to make a fuss about it.]

[And he's going to get going, waiting just a moment to make sure she's coming with him.]

[ Amy is right behind him, though does take a moment to lock up the apartment before they head out. ]

As to her question, well that's easy to answer.]

I was looking for places that would sell me coffee beans instead of just coffee.

[You wouldn't imagine how many cafes and cafe-like places Shadow got laughed out of finding this place.]

[ Amy tries to imagine it anyway, and can't help a soft giggle. ]

Oh, I see. And the coffee beans are pretty good?

They're passable.

[It's actually not that far from the Inn, so it doesn't take them too long to get there. And once there Shadow will even hold open the door for Amy, because that's the polite thing to do.]

[ That's as good a compliment as it's going to get from Shadow, so she figures it's pretty good.

She also can't help the way her heart skips a little as he holds the door open, and with a soft "Thank you" she steps inside. ]

Mmm...it does smell really good in here.

[ The scent of something sweet and buttery mixed with the smell of coffee, and despite working at a cafe it's an aroma that she never tires of. ]

[Expecting anything more from Shadow is expecting too much, as he follows her inside the cafe.

At her comment about how it smells he stops and sniffs the air as if it wasn't something he had considered before this moment.]

Hm, you're right.

[He would mostly have noticed if it smelled not like coffee and baked goods, as he will find a table for them if Amy doesn't. As this cafe is a bit more free form in its seating than some places might be, a seat yourself kind of set-up.]

[ Taking another moment to just enjoy the aroma wafting through the air, Amy then takes a glance around and, once she notices that it does seem like it's free seating, leads Shadow over to a table by the window. ]

Do we get menus somewhere, is the menu just up by the registers?
